Managing workplace health sponsors

Proud sponsors of Managing Workplace Health: Fit for Purpose Conference

We are proud to announce we will be sponsoring the upcoming ‘Managing Workplace Health: Fit for Purpose’ conference. This is being hosted by the Workplace Health Leadership Group NI (WHLGNI.) and will be Northern Irelands biggest ever Occupational Health conference, taking place on 20th & 21st November in La Mon Hotel in Belfast.

Bringing together over 30 local and GB based experts in the workplace health field, the event will show employers the latest trends in the sector, as well as highlight case studies where local organisations have successfully integrated occupational health into their businesses.

The event will also signpost employers to sources of information, links and the latest news in fields as diverse as occupational cancers, respiratory health surveillance, musculoskeletal disorders, welding fumes, mental health, employee wellbeing and other areas faced by employers on a daily basis.

“By creating a positive, safe and healthy environment for employees, you can increase morale, improve your employees’ work‐life balance and, in turn, positively impact your business.” said Wilson Lambe, Chair of WHLGNI. He went on to say “there is a lack of understanding of the benefits of tackling workplace health and hence the need to bring in experts to help our local businesses”

As a key sponsor, we will be hosting a range of different events across both days including:

Breakfast Nutrition Workshops

Our in-house dietician will host a breakfast workshop to cover:

  • The basics of healthy eating
  • The sugar rollercoaster – Why do we have cravings?
  • Nutrients to optimise energy & performance
  • Simple & practical ideas for a healthy breakfast
  • Food swaps and snacks to prevent an energy crash

Mental Health First AId- WHat’s it all about?

With one in four of us suffering from a mental health problem every year, mental health first aiders are perhaps more needed than ever to make sure we have the support we need if we are struggling. This seminar will provide a high level overview of Mental Health First Aid and how it can be incorporated into the overall mental health at work strategy.

We are really looking forward to having the chance to meet and network with delegates and will hopefully be a great few days of learning too! If you are attending, don’t forget to visit our stand and workshops!
