Federation of Occupational Health Nurses of the European Union – FOHNEU
Health Matters’ Managing Director Mary Doran recently attended the 45th board meeting of the Federation of Occupational Health Nurses of the European Union (FOHNEU) in Stockholm, Sweden last week. Mary is the representative for Ireland within this organisation.
Current President of the FOHNEU Dr. Henriett HIRDI (Hungary) chaired this event. Attendees were from Occupational Health Nurses of EU member states. These included Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Ireland and Croatia.
It was an excellent forum for all representatives to share evidence-based best practice in the field of Occupational Health and Safety within their respective jurisdictions.
A new FOHNEU Declaration was agreed and adopted. Also, plans are now in place for the 7th Congress in Budapest, Hungary 2019.
