Occupational Health Advisor

Due to continued expansion we have an exciting opportunity for Occupational Health Advisors to join our team.

We are keen to speak to Occupational Health Advisors (full time permanent, part time also sessional staff) to join our busy team and be part of our company vision to deliver the very best in occupational health services to our clients.

 

The work involved will include delivery of a full Occupational Health remit to clients across Northern Ireland.

 Essential Criteria

  • Registered with Part 1 of the live NMC register and/or An Bord Altranais
  • Excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must have full clean driving license and willing to travel
  • Competent in health surveillance.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in case management, including absence case management referrals.

Desirable Criteria

  • Registered on Part 3 of the live NMC register and/or An Bord Altranais with a specialist qualification in Occupational Health
  • Qualification in Health and Safety

Occupational Health Technician

The Occupational Health Technician role in Health Matters is responsible for delivering our portfolio of occupational health surveillance and health promotion services to clients, maintaining excellent ethical standards and client relationships.

 

Our Occupational Health Technicians work closely with a range of client organisational stakeholders including health and safety, human resources, and senior management to drive and help coordinate the organisation’s occupational health programmes.

 

The Occupational Health Technician is expected to:

  • Deliver peripatetic health surveillance and health & wellbeing services to clients throughout Northern Ireland.
  • Complete health surveillance assessments, while evaluating the results of assessments and surveillance activities.
  • Deliver health and wellbeing services such as health checks, seminars, and workshops.
  • Prioritise work with effective time management to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within set timescales/KPI’s.
  • Work pro-actively taking initiative and responsibility at your site of work.
  • Produce professional, comprehensive and evidence based written and typed reports.
  • Maintain an excellent standard of clinical recording documentation.
  • Work to high ethical standards and adhere to all legislative and best practice requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Appropriate educational background in Adult Nursing, Health & Social Care, Public Health, Domiciliary Care, Sports Science, and other health related disciplines.
  • Be IT literate with the ability to confidently use a laptop/computer and accessories.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Good oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • UK Driving License and ability to travel by car throughout Ireland.
